| | The part where it feels like so long that you've said anything that you really don't know where to start. Also the part where you admit that the intention to blog every week was a fail, along with the blue-striped-onsie project
But life has to be lived and a busy month it's been. Which, by the way, why is September always busy?? Every year. Never fail. It's crazy month. There's always weddings. and whatever else. The month flies by. And this year, I don't even know where the month of Sept. went. One second ago it was my birthday, the beginning of Sept. and now, the last weekend is upon us.
In the last few weeks, we've gone to the cabin with parts of Daryl's family. Shot two weddings. Entertained various groups of guests. Did several photo shoots, and then there's editing, editing, editing. It's like running on a hamster wheel, you run fast to get ahead, but the wheel keeps going 'round. I started up with a few of my cleaning jobs again. Not many, just one or two. And much to Abbi and I's delight, MOPS is once again going for the year. I'm part of the hospitality committee, which is turnign out to be a little more involved then I thot it might be w/ a little baby, so it was a busy time leading up to the first meeting. Daryl's work is also just crazy. He's been getting up at 4:30, and working an hour later in the day too. Calmer times will come again, but until then, we hang on for the ride.
This past week was the super addictive fun that is the Consignment sale. It's a local consignment event, held twice a year. Each year seems to get bigger. Anyway, I consign clothes, and also volunteer my time for a bit, to earn a higher percentage of my sales. It's always crazy times getting all the clothes out of storage, washing them, hanging them, entering them into the computer system, and then tagging them and taking them to the sale. Then running down to shop, running down to volunteer, and then running down to collect what's left at the end. Plus taking the kids to the sitter inbetween. Anyway, this year, I sold allllll my girl stuff. It would be at least 5 years old till I use it again--IF I have another girl, so I decided it's better to sell while it has a little re-sell value, use the money to buy the next season clothes, and buy other if/when/ever another girl should come along. This summer, I also kept my eyes open at the few yard sales I visited this year, for good name-brand clothes or cheap clean baby gear. I collected a small collection, but not tons extra and sold it this fall. So exciting! everything I took sold. I had a few random items that I bought back home, but not much at all!! I am so excited about it all--and the fat little check that will come in the mail in a few weeks. (the sale organization has a computer program that you can log in and see which of your items has gone as the sale progresses, and also your $$$ amount.) It's kinda like Christmas Anyway. that part is quite addictive. Makes me want to collect more, and do it again. I'm finding I have an eye for clothing that sells, not to brag or anything, so that kinda makes me want to do it some more
Anyway. The resident baby is now 11 weeks old!!! Time is flying, ladies and gentlemen!

I cannot even express to you what a sweetheart this little guy is. So pleasant, and easy, and sweet. Delicious. The photo on the right is quite possibly my favorite. My two best men.

And I love the one on the right of these two as well. He's wearing one of his new outfits from the sale. I had fun buying the kids winter outfits. These last few weeks they've been wearing some interesting concoctions as the weather turned chilly. We just kinda made do until sale time.

Oh, so i just found Abbi's pictures at this age. They look so alike and so different all at the same time.

His eyes. My eyes.

He just feels so proud of himself when he's sitting in the bumbo. There is nothing he likes more then to be up so he can see everything going on around him. He's really started in the last week or so to watch people. He loves watching Abbi, it makes him super happy. He also loves laying and kicking. His little feet just go and go.

I forgot how sweet the whole 3 month stage is. Newborn fog is pretty much over. It's getting easier and easier to get out with baby. Nights are going better (not completely perfect, but better), and life is finding it's rhythm again. Plus baby is sweet and dear and gaining chub, and smiling deliciously, and cooing and talking too. so fun.

Both my babies have the most kissable chunky little cheeks ever. And yes. I must kiss his often.

Little man clocked in at 13 lbs. at his dr. visit last week. And suddenly outgrew, in length, a bunch of his clothes. He's geting to be so big!!
